31 Flavors

This morning Laura had a baby shower for Debbie and Gil's new daughter, Maya. (Congratulations!) So it was Daddy time. After dropping Laura off and feeding Jenna, we all went down to the La Jolla Rec Center and Melanie swung in the yellow swing while I ran back and forth pushing her and trying to finish giving Jenna her bottle.

Then we walked (some of us strolled) down to the ocean and we saw the seals. Then back up the hill and to Wahoo's for lunch. And for dessert... well, a picture is worth a thousand words.

PS. I admit it. I gave Jenna some ice cream. I'm sorry. It a) has her very happy this afternoon, but b) quite unwilling to take a nap.

Melanie the Bob the Builder

The hat is from pre-school's Passover performance. The flag, well, that is a souvenier from the temple's "My Family and Me" event celebrating Isreali Independence Day.

But you can tell she's British because of the Burberry boots. Bob's your uncle!

But boy, does this come awfully close!

Surrounded by Gilmore Girls

I'm willing to admit to having enjoyed the show over the last few years since Laura turned me on to it. It was frequently annoying, but most often it was fun and even clever at times. And to be honest, how hard is it to watch Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel for an hour each week?

So I guess this is a long way of asking, with yesterday's season finale, if anyone has any suggestions for television viewing on Tuesday nights. We've got an opening.

Dear Gerber

Should you be on the lookout for a new spokes-baby, please consider this photo our application.

Time to play a game. Mom, can you find the matching photo?

PS. Some slight tweaks to the template. I'll try to fix the header and bring back some rounded corners (or something). But I wanted to widen the site to be able to display larger photos, like this one.

Please let me know if you have any problems with the site being too wide for your monitors/screen resolution, or if the site starts too take too long to load. Hopefully we're all on broadband these days.

Seven at Eight

Jenna turned eight months old today as we celebrated by going to the Quail Botanical Gardens' Chocolate Festival with out friends Justin, Maya, Jonas, and Lucas. We saw the frog pond --

ate chocolate, made a butterfly out of a coffee filter and a clothes pin, had a butterfly painted on our cheek --

and more!

We were SO tired that we fell asleep on the way home --

Which of course ruined our nap. But not our appetite --

Oh, and the title of the post? Jenna is cutting her seventh tooth. You can see it poking out on the bottom left of the photo at the top of the post.
