Surrounded by Girls: Lady Falcons Field Hockey

Well, it's that time of year! Well, no. No, it's not. But regardless, after a seven month delay, high school sports are starting! The girls have been practicing at the school field for a bit now, but under the auspices of a "club team". Now, we've quickly moved into - and through - tryouts, and it's official.

Melanie is a varsity (!) field hockey player.

Jenna made the junior varsity team.

If there are games, there will be a shortened season against five other teams - Bishops, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, Serra, and Patrick Henry - over the next few weeks. Hopefully San Diego County will improve its COVID numbers and the games will happen. If they do, hopefully parents will be allowed to watch. But if not, at least Melanie now has her driver's license so we won't have to drive to and fro for nothing.
