Melanie's first physics project was a rubber-band powered, cardboard car that she had to build to certain specifications. She was graded on design, construction, and most importantly on how far the car travelled. She built it by herself, for the most part, and got 100% when she ran it at school. In fact, hers was the fourth farthest travelled by any car in her class!
