Knocked out

Dumped out of State Cup at the first knockout round. 2-2 (0-1 on penalties). The "good" news is that Melanie is taking it much better than I am. She was in good spirits after the loss as she was "all cried out during the game". It was very physical, and very tense. Melanie, as she had the week before, played very well and really made the fullback position her own. We're very proud of her, and looking forward to another season with these girls.

State Cup - Group play

We did it! Well, she did it. They did it.

Melanie's team topped their group in State Cup this weekend, and will advance to the knock-out rounds. They won their three matches by a combined 12-4. By winning the group, we (they) get to play next weekend in Temecula, rather than schlepping up to Lancaster, so everyone wins!
